Widows & Widowers
Outreach

New Connections. Lasting Hope.

Losing a spouse changes everything—and sometimes it can feel like the world has moved on without you. But here at our parish, we want you to know: you still belong. You are remembered, loved, and needed.

We believe widows and widowers carry a deep well of wisdom, faith, and love that enriches our entire community. Whether you’re feeling strong or simply trying to get through the day, you’re not alone on this journey.

If you’re looking for connection, companionship, or simply a place to feel at home, we invite you to come as you are. There’s no pressure—just a warm welcome, a listening ear, and space to be yourself.

This ministry is more than people in the same situation getting together—it’s a community of vibrant adults who have faced profound loss and are now discovering how to live a “new life” with purpose and joy.

Together, we challenge ourselves to heal, grow, and embrace opportunities to do great things for ourselves, for others, and for God. From social events and outings to spiritual support and everyday companionship, we walk side by side—finding laughter, encouragement, and the courage to begin again.

Our mission is simple: to bring Christ’s healing love to one another and to the world around us through friendship, faith, and shared hope.

WELCOME HERE

(WHERE ALL MEANS ALL.)

Seriously.  Every week at Our Lady of Lourdes, Christians and non-Christians, believers and doubters, seekers and skeptics, the fired-up and totally worn out, all come together to explore what it means to say yes to something real, hopeful, and new.
