Sacraments

What are the Sacraments?

Sacraments are celebrations of God’s love for us.  The seven sacraments celebrate, express, and strengthen our faith.  Whether you are preparing for Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, seeking the comfort of Reconciliation, or Anointing of the Sick (previously called “Last Rites”), we walk with you.  Each sacrament holds deep meaning and purpose.

Contact the parish office at 386.255.0433 for details around celebrating each sacrament.

ALL are welcome—and ALL means ALL.

INFANT Baptism

(For children up to 7 years of age)

For families who are active in the Catholic faith, we joyfully celebrate God’s love for their children (up to age 7) and welcome them into our Church family through the Sacrament of Baptism. We can’t wait to welcome your little one into the life of Christ and our parish community!

Baptisms are celebrated during any weekend Mass (Saturday or Sunday), except during the seasons of Advent and Lent. Please reach out to us at least twelve weeks before your preferred date so we can begin planning together.

If you are interested in having your child baptized or would like to learn more about joining our Church, please contact Lisa Cacchione at 386.255.0433.

Child Baptism

(For children up to 7 years of age)

Children between the ages of 7 and 16 are invited to begin their faith journey and become full members of the Church through the Sacraments of Initiation—Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist—celebrated together at the Easter Vigil.

This process follows the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), which includes a series of meaningful rites marking their steps into our faith community. Even though they are young, children in this age group receive all three sacraments at the Easter Vigil, alongside our adult candidates.

To help them prepare, children participate in our Small Group Sacramental Preparation program, designed especially for their age and stage of faith.

To enroll your child or to learn more, please contact Rebecca Isaacs at 386.255.0433.

First Communion for Children

Our Sacramental Preparation program is designed as a faith journey for children in Grades 2-5,  First Reconciliation/ Communion preparation begins in early spring and concludes with Group First Communion in May.

For location and times of preparation, contact Rebecca Isaacs at 386.255.0433.

First Communion and First Reconciliation for Adults

Adults who would like to receive their first communion or first reconciliation, make an appointment with Fr. Phil at 386.255.0433.

Sacrament of Confirmation

Confirmation celebrates and strengthens our relationship with God and deepens our commitment to Christ and His mission. Through this sacrament, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit — wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and reverence — grow stronger, equipping us to live as witnesses to Christ in the world.

Our Sacramental Preparation program is open to 7th and 8th grade students. Preparation begins in September and concludes with the celebration of Confirmation with Bishop John Noonan on March 21, 2026.

For location and times of preparation, contact Rebecca Isaacs at 386.255.0433.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation after any daily Mass or by appointment.  Saturday confessions at 2:45 PM.

Sacrament of Marriage

Marriages are preferably celebrated during our weekend liturgy. There is a pre-Cana process that usually begins a year before the desired date.  Contact the parish office at 386.255.0433 to begin the process.

Anointing of the Sick

The sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick extends God’s grace of spiritual strength, peace, and courage to overcome the difficulties that go with facing a serious health challenge or advanced age.
