helping hands ministry

You Are Welcome Here

The mission of Helping Hands is to share God’s transforming love with our brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness. On the third Saturday of every month from 7:30–10:30 AM, we gather at the Lourdes pavilion to provide essential goods and personal care in a way that honors each person’s dignity.

Through a welcoming, dignified “shopping” experience, our guests can receive hygiene items, clothing, and other basics, while volunteers offer fellowship, prayer, and the simple gift of being present. Every gathering is a reminder that Christ is found in our neighbors and that all are worthy of care, respect, and love.

Join us in spreading love

Helping Hands depends on volunteers and donors to make this ministry possible. There are many ways to serve, including:

  • Barbers and stylists for our hair care station

  • Sorting and organizing donations

  • Creating “Love Packs” to-go

  • Helping set up and break down tables and chairs

  • Simply showing up to love and connect with our homeless brothers and sisters

High-Need Donations
We also rely on ongoing donations of:

  • Travel-size personal hygiene items

  • Sunscreen and bug spray

  • Socks, sneakers, and work boots

  • Hats and backpacks

ALL ARE

WELCOME HERE

(WHERE ALL MEANS ALL.)

Seriously.  Every week at Our Lady of Lourdes, Christians and non-Christians, believers and doubters, seekers and skeptics, the fired-up and totally worn out, all come together to explore what it means to say yes to something real, hopeful, and new.
