F.A.I.T.H JUSTICE MINISTRY

Doing Justice Together

F.A.I.T.H. (Fighting Against Injustice Toward Harmony) is a 501(c)(3) organization made up of 30 diverse congregations across Volusia County. Though our congregations vary in race, theology, and background, we are united in our commitment to fulfill God’s call to “do justice.”

Unlike direct service or mercy ministries, F.A.I.T.H. focuses on addressing the root causes of community problems. By organizing people of faith and using collective action, we work to hold public officials accountable and advocate for fair and just policies that benefit the most vulnerable in our community.

At Our Lady of Lourdes, parishioners live out this mission by joining our Justice Ministry Team. Members commit to:

  • Attending team gatherings and planning sessions

  • Bringing at least three people to the Community Problems Assembly

  • Standing together to demand accountability and systemic change

Your voice makes a difference. By showing up, inviting others, and participating in assemblies, you help ensure that justice is not just an idea but a reality in Volusia County.

“The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference.” – Elie Wiesel

WELCOME HERE

(WHERE ALL MEANS ALL.)

Seriously.  Every week at Our Lady of Lourdes, Christians and non-Christians, believers and doubters, seekers and skeptics, the fired-up and totally worn out, all come together to explore what it means to say yes to something real, hopeful, and new.
