Baptism
BAPTISM AT OUR LADY OF LOURDES
Welcoming infants, children, and adults into new life in Christ.
INFANT BAPTISM
for children up to 7 years of age
At Lourdes, we celebrate God’s love through the baptism of infants and young children. Baptism welcomes them into the life of Christ and our Church family. We look forward to celebrating this moment with you!
When: Baptisms may be celebrated during any weekend Mass (except during Advent and Lent). Please contact us at least 12 weeks in advance of your desired date.
What to Expect:
After baptism, your child is dressed in a white garment, symbolizing their new life in Christ.
Families and sponsors help guide the child’s faith journey by word and example.
At least one Catholic sponsor (age 16+, confirmed) is required, with a letter from their parish confirming eligibility.
Child BAPTISM
for children 7-16 years of age
At Lourdes, children between the ages of 7 and 16 prepare for Baptism through our parish sacramental programs. They receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist together at the Easter Vigil Mass, joining adults and other new members of our community.
When: Baptism for children in this age group is celebrated at the Easter Vigil Mass.
Preparation:
Students participate in our Children’s Small Group Sacramental Preparation program.
Families walk alongside their children as they learn, pray, and grow in faith.
Adult BAPTISM
16 years of age and older
At Lourdes, we recognize that everyone’s faith journey is unique. Faith Steps is our process for adults seeking Baptism, Confirmation, or full membership in the Catholic Church.
Faith Steps is for you if…
You have never been baptized.
You were baptized in another Christian tradition.
You were baptized Catholic but have not received Eucharist or Confirmation.
You’ve been part of Lourdes or the Catholic Church and are ready to take your next step.

WELCOME HERE
(WHERE ALL MEANS ALL.)
Seriously. Every week at Our Lady of Lourdes, Christians and non-Christians, believers and doubters, seekers and skeptics, the fired-up and totally worn out, all come together to explore what it means to say yes to something real, hopeful, and new.
